Compliance Co-ordinator

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Compliance Co-ordinator to join us at GIlmartins. 

 Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain subcontractor compliance records and documentation
  • Ensure all operatives have valid certifications (e.g. qualifications, insurance)
  • Carry out right-to-work checks and verify eligibility documentation
  • Monitor expiry dates and proactively chase renewals
  • Support onboarding processes to ensure compliance requirements are met before start dates
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date compliance trackers and databases
  • Liaise with site teams and managers to ensure only compliant operatives are deployed
  • Assist with internal audits and compliance checks
  • Ensure company policies and industry regulations are adhered to at all times
  • Identify gaps or risks in compliance processes and escalate where necessary. 

Skills & Experience

Compliance & Administration

  • Previous experience in a compliance, administration, or coordination role
  • Understanding of compliance requirements within construction or social housing (preferred)
  • Experience handling sensitive documents with a high level of accuracy
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple records and deadlines

Attention to Detail

  • Meticulous approach to checking documentation and identifying discrepancies
  • Ability to manage large volumes of data without compromising accuracy
  • Strong record-keeping and document control skills

Communication & Coordination

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to liaise effectively with subcontractors, site teams, and internal departments
  • Confident in chasing documentation and enforcing compliance requirements

Systems & Technical Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience using compliance systems, databases, or CRM tools (desirable)
  • Ability to manage trackers, reports, and compliance logs

  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Team player with a collaborative approach

This role is office-based, no remote working available. We are based in Houghton Hall Park (LU5 5YG), hour of work Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.
