Manchester | Hybrid Working (2 Days Office / 3 Days Home)

£27,000 - £30,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Are you currently working within Food Manufacturing Quality or Technical and looking for a role that offers more variety, greater exposure to the wider technical function, and genuine hybrid working?

We are recruiting for a Compliance & Quality Technician to join an established Technical team supporting a portfolio of premium consumer products supplied globally.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with around 12 months+ experience within a food manufacturing quality, technical or compliance environment who is looking to broaden their experience beyond factory floor quality activities.

The Role

Working as part of a collaborative Technical team, the position is split broadly between complaints management and product quality/compliance activities.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing customer complaints from receipt through to resolution
  • Conducting investigations and root cause analysis
  • Liaising with suppliers, manufacturing partners and internal stakeholders
  • Monitoring complaint trends and supporting continuous improvement activities
  • Responding to technical queries from customers and internal departments
  • Coordinating product testing programmes with external laboratories
  • Reviewing product testing results and identifying trends
  • Supporting product quality, compliance and food safety activities
  • Assisting with technical documentation and compliance administration
  • Supporting supplier quality and performance initiatives
  • Producing reports and KPI information as required

To be considered you will ideally have:

  • At least 12 months' experience within a food manufacturing quality or technical environment
  • Experience of complaint investigations, non-conformances or root cause analysis
  • Understanding of HACCP, GMP and food safety principles
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Good attention to detail and analytical ability
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
