About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll deliver short‑term and day‑to‑day cover during teacher absence. You’ll supervise pupils as they complete pre‑set work, maintain a positive classroom environment, and ensure lessons run smoothly.

You’ll play an important role in keeping pupils engaged, focused, and supported throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise whole classes using pre‑prepared lesson plans
  • Maintain calm, well‑managed classroom environments
  • Give clear instructions and keep pupils on task
  • Encourage positive behaviour and participation
  • Follow school policies and report any concerns
  • Build strong professional relationships with pupils and staff
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience working with young people (school experience beneficial but not essential)
  • Confidence managing a classroom independently
  • Strong communication and behaviour‑management skills
  • A proactive, reliable approach
  • A genuine interest in education
