We are working with a well-established secondary school seeking a Curriculum Team Leader for Maths to drive standards, lead a high-performing team, and deliver excellent outcomes for students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The Role

This is a key leadership position within the school, focused on raising attainment, improving teaching quality, and developing an ambitious and engaging Maths curriculum.

You will:

• Lead and manage the Maths department, ensuring consistently high standards of teaching and learning
• Use data effectively to track progress, identify gaps, and implement targeted interventions
• Drive improvements in outcomes across all student groups
• Deliver and embed a high-quality, well-sequenced curriculum
• Lead on assessment, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and impact
• Support and develop staff through coaching, CPD, and regular feedback
• Carry out quality assurance including lesson observations, learning walks, and work scrutiny
• Contribute to whole-school improvement and strategic planning

The role requires a strong focus on accountability, curriculum development, and staff leadership, ensuring all students make good or outstanding progress .

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds QTS and a relevant degree in Maths or a related subject
• Has a proven track record of strong teaching and student outcomes
• Has experience teaching Maths up to GCSE level (A-Level desirable)
• Has leadership experience or is ready to step into a middle leadership role
• Is confident using data to inform teaching and drive improvement
• Can inspire both students and staff, fostering a culture of high expectations
• Is committed to continuous professional development and best practice
