We are seeking an experienced, organised, and detail-oriented Data & Exams Manager to join our successful secondary school in the B42 area of Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to play a key role in supporting student achievement and the smooth operational running of the school.
The successful candidate will lead on all aspects of school data management and examination administration, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with awarding body regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Data Management:
- Manage and maintain the school’s Management Information System (MIS)
- Produce accurate student performance data and reports for senior leaders
- Analyse assessment and attendance data to support school improvement
- Ensure the integrity, security, and accuracy of student information
- Support staff with data systems, reporting, and analysis
- Coordinate census returns and statutory data submissions
Exams Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee internal and external examinations
- Ensure compliance with JCQ and awarding body regulations
- Manage exam entries, timetables, seating plans, and results processes
- Recruit, train, and manage invigilators
- Liaise with staff, students, parents, and examination boards
- Handle post-results services including remarks and appeals
We Are Looking For:
- Experience in data management and/or examinations within a school environment
- Strong IT skills, particularly with MIS systems and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organisational and administrative abilities
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- The ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of JCQ regulations and school data processes is desirable
