Team Manager (Day Services)

Rate: Competitive – please state required hourly rate

Brent Council is seeking an experienced Team Manager (Day Services) to lead and develop high-quality services for adults with learning disabilities. This is a key leadership role within Direct Services, ensuring safe, empowering, and outcomes-focused support delivery across the campus.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively deliver a campus-based approach to service delivery across Direct Services
• Lead services that uphold respect, empowerment, and inclusion, in line with Brent Council standards
• Work collaboratively with Care Managers and Direct Service teams to assess and meet service users’ needs
• Develop and maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including Brent Start
• Ensure individualised programmes are developed to support life skills, independence, and personal goals
• Take responsibility for the safe, compliant delivery of services, in line with legislation, policies, and procedures
• Support the development and delivery of Support Plans, working closely with service users and carers
• Identify, manage, and escalate risk, working with professional staff and reporting to the Service Manager
• Ensure compliance with building regulations and health & safety standards
• Identify and promote external funding opportunities
• Signpost staff and carers to relevant support organisations, including specialist Autism services
• Provide line management, supervision, and leadership to Team Leaders, supporting effective day-to-day operations

Essential Requirements

• Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care or a related field
• Extensive experience working with adults with learning disabilities
• Proven experience managing a day service
• Strong leadership, partnership-working, and safeguarding knowledge
