Key responsibilities for Deputy Head of Crime role:
- Support the Head of the Leeds Office in managing and supervising the Leeds Crime team.
- Help allocate and manage workloads to ensure cases progress efficiently.
- Review files regularly to ensure compliance with LAA requirements, SRA standards, and firm policies.
- Provide practical casework support and guidance, including on complex or sensitive matters.
- Mentor and support junior staff, including paralegals, trainees, and newly qualified solicitors.
- Assist with team training and development.
- Support quality assurance through performance monitoring and addressing skills gaps.
- Assist with compliance tasks such as billing, file management, and case closure.
- Act as a senior point of contact when the Head of the Leeds Office is absent.
