Our client, a respected family-run care providerf, supports more than 1,500 residents across Norfolk and Suffolk and is looking for a passionate and driven Deputy Manager (Nursing) to support the leadership of their beautiful nursing home in Wroxham.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional care, supporting teams, and helping shape a positive and thriving home environment.

About the Role

As Deputy Manager (Nursing), you will work closely alongside the Home Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the service while maintaining the highest standards of clinical and person-centred care.

You will play a key role in leading the nursing and care teams, supporting compliance, and ensuring residents receive outstanding care in a safe, welcoming, and compassionate environment.

You’ll be:

  • Supporting the Home Manager with the day-to-day operational management of the home
  • Leading and supervising clinical and care teams to deliver outstanding care
  • Promoting high standards of nursing practice and clinical governance
  • Supporting compliance with CQC regulations and legislation
  • Acting as a role model and mentor for nurses and carers within the home
  • Helping to create a positive culture where residents and staff feel valued
  • Hold an active NMC Pin

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting and deputising for the Home Manager in their absence
  • Ensuring high-quality, person-centred care is delivered at all times
  • Supervising, mentoring, and developing nursing and care staff
  • Assisting with recruitment, inductions, training, and performance management
  • Conducting audits, monitoring standards, and implementing improvements
  • Supporting medication management and clinical compliance
  • Building positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external stakeholders
  • Ensuring care plans and documentation are accurate and up to date
  • Supporting occupancy, reputation, and overall performance of the home
  • Promoting a safe, caring, and supportive environment for residents and staff

About You

You are a compassionate and confident nursing professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for high-quality elderly care.

You will:

  • Hold a valid NMC Registered Nurse Pin
  • Have previous experience within a nursing or residential care setting in the UK
  • Ideally have experience in a Senior NurseClinical Lead, or Deputy Manager position
  • Possess a strong understanding of CQC standards and clinical governance
  • Be organised, proactive, and able to lead by example
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be passionate about delivering exceptional person-centred care
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a wider management team
