Salary will be determined based on experience and position on the Main Pay Range. The maximum salary applies to candidates with substantial teaching experience equivalent to UPS3.

Teach Now is recruiting for an enthusiastic and adaptable Design & Technology / Food Technology Teacher to join a supportive and ambitious secondary school in Westminster from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for a strong classroom practitioner who enjoys practical learning, creativity, and helping students develop confidence and independence through engaging hands-on lessons.

The Role

The successful candidate will teach Food Technology up to GCSE level while also delivering high-quality lessons across Design Technology subjects.

You will join a collaborative and well-resourced department that values innovation, creativity, and strong relationships with students. The role would suit a teacher who is passionate about inspiring learners through practical and purposeful teaching.

Key Responsibilities


• Teach Food Technology up to GCSE level
• Deliver engaging lessons across Design Technology subjects
• Create purposeful and creative practical learning experiences
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
• Support student progress and confidence within the classroom
• Contribute positively to the wider school community

The Ideal Candidate


• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience within UK schools
• Strong curriculum knowledge across DT and Food Technology
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Flexible, proactive, and collaborative approach
• Passionate about practical and creative education
