We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable franchised car dealership and Bosch accredited service centre in Farnborough, seeking to appoint a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and experienced Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join a modern, well-equipped workshop environment and deliver high-quality diagnostics and mechanical repairs for a wide range of vehicles, including prestige and multi-franchised brands.

  • Up to £40,000 basic salary, with overtime paid at 1.5x rate

  • 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday plus Saturday mornings on a rota (1 in 4)

Duties as a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician:
  • Perform complex vehicle diagnostics using the latest diagnostic tools and software
  • Carry out mechanical repairs, servicing, and maintenance to manufacturer standards
  • Identify and resolve technical issues efficiently, ensuring high customer satisfaction
  • Accurately record all work completed for compliance and customer records
  • Collaborate with the workshop team to maintain high standards of service
  • Mentor and support junior technicians, sharing expertise and knowledge
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or extensive industry experience as a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician
  • Proven experience in diagnostics and mechanical repairs, preferably with prestige or multi-franchised vehicles, as a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail
  • Full UK driving licence preferred
