Domestic Gas Service & Breakdown Engineer – Cornwall

We are working with a leading provider of heating, maintenance, and renewable energy solutions within the social housing sector, to recruit an experienced Domestic Gas Service & Breakdown Engineer across Cornwall.

Job Role:
  • Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on domestic gas appliances and heating systems.
  • Diagnosing and rectifying breakdowns in social housing properties.
  • Completing repairs efficiently and in line with Gas Safe regulations.
  • Managing parts ordering and job progression to ensure timely completion.
  • Using PDA technology to update jobs, record work completed, and book parts.
  • Liaising with tenants and clients, providing updates and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Participating in the company call-out rota.
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
Requirements:
  • Current Gas Safe registration.
  • ACS qualifications including:
    • CCN1
    • CPA1
    • CENWAT
    • CKR1
    • HTR1
  • NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent).
  • City & Guilds Energy Efficiency qualification.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience using mobile PDA technology.
  • Previous experience carrying out gas servicing and breakdown work.
  • Experience within social housing or housing association contracts.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • DBS clearance.
