Early Years Teaching Assistant – Nursery Setting

Are you an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in a nurturing childcare environment? A well-established nursery in Enfield is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join its close-knit team.

This Early Years Teaching Assistant role is perfect for someone with a Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification, or substantial Early Years experience, who is passionate about supporting young childrens development. The nursery cares for a small group of children aged 1–5 years, allowing staff to build strong relationships and provide high-quality individual support.

The Role
Support childrens learning, play and development across the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Work alongside a small, experienced team of nursery practitioners.
Help create a safe, engaging and stimulating environment.
Support children during activities, mealtimes and outdoor play.
Assist with personal care when required.
Encourage positive social, emotional and communication development.

Requirements
• Previous experience as an Early Years Teaching Assistant or within an Early Years setting is essential.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification preferred.
• Strong understanding of EYFS principles and child development.
• SEN experience would be advantageous.
• Caring, proactive and reliable approach.
• Must be able to commute easily to Enfield.
