Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Manchester (Ardwick)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our clients team, supporting a key contract in Manchester.

This role focuses on maintaining site infrastructure rather than rolling stock, offering a varied workload across electrical systems within a busy operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with the client’s maintenance regime
  • Respond to reactive maintenance and breakdowns as required
  • Maintain and repair electrical infrastructure including lighting, heating, and power systems
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with health & safety regulations
  • Liaise with the client and internal teams to ensure efficient service delivery
  • Work occasionally at height using appropriate access equipment

Requirements

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (essential)
  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance within a commercial or industrial environment
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Experience working with building infrastructure systems (not domestic-only experience)
  • Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP / IPAF) certification (preferred)
  • Testing & Inspection qualification (desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence (beneficial)
