We are seeking a highly motivated Individual to join our team in a challenging and rewarding role within the Power Industry. The Role:
The Production Lead - Electrical forms a key position within the Maintenance Department, with the primary focus to assess, plan and undertake all Electrical maintenance. You will ensure maintenance and defect resolution is carried out as required to relevant standards, for the continued production of safe electricity and steam to meet our customer needs whilst achieving best value and compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the reliability and maintenance of LV/HV electrical systems, including generators, transformers, switchgear, motors, protection systems, and ancillary plant equipment.
- Supervising maintenance activities and contractors while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Planning and delivering complex maintenance and outage activities, including resource scheduling, budget management, and CMMS administration within Maximo.
- Producing technical documentation, work packs, RAMS, and managing support contracts and maintenance procedures.
- Leading fault diagnosis, emergency breakdown response, RCA, HAZOPs, and reliability improvement activities to maintain safe and efficient plant operation.
- Holding Site Safety Rule authorisations up to Appointed Person level and provides technical leadership, coaching, and operational support to technicians and shift teams.
What We Are Looking For:
- 10 years' experience in planning, scoping, and delivering LV and HV electrical
- Educated to HNC standard (or equivalent levels) in an Electrical Engineering discipline
- Strong computer literacy skills
- Self-motivated with a flexible, can-do attitude
- Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills
- Ability to analyse and diagnose problems logically under pressure
- COMPEX and 18th Edition (BS-7671) t
