A specialist engineering company delivering bespoke automated test and control systems for the aerospace and automotive sectors is looking to add an Electrical Panel Builder to its growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone earlier in their career who wants to develop technically within a highly skilled engineering environment. The role is primarily workshop/office based, with occasional customer site visits for installation and commissioning support.
Electrical Panel Builder
£30-35k
Warwickshire. Ref: 25454
You will be responsible for the build and wiring of electrical control panels and custom test machinery, working from detailed electrical drawings and schematics to produce high-quality, accurate builds.
You’ll also support electrical testing, fault finding and commissioning activities while learning from an experienced and supportive team.
Electrical Panel Builder - The Role:
- Build, layout and wire electrical control panels and bespoke machinery
- Work from electrical schematics and drawings to complete accurate, neat builds
- Carry out electrical testing and fault finding
- Ensure work complies with quality standards, H&S requirements and machinery regulations
- Assist with on-site installation and commissioning when required
- Support continuous improvement and maintain high workmanship standards
Electrical Panel Builder - The Person:
- City & Guilds 2382 – 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or Panel Wiring
- Experience in electrical panel building and industrial machine wiring
- Full UK driving licence and own transport
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
Electrical Panel Builder - Nice to Have:
- Experience with EPLAN or SolidWorks Electrical
- Knowledge of machinery safety concepts and risk assessment
- TÜV Machinery Safety certification
