Electrical Project Engineer - Water Infrastructure

Location: South East England (covering Southern Water, South East Water and parts of the Thames Water region)

Salary: Up to £65,000 + Car Allowance/Vehicle + Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join a growing engineering business delivering critical infrastructure projects across the UK water sector.

Operating across Southern Water, South East Water and parts of the Thames Water region, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of electrical and MEICA projects from design and procurement through to installation, commissioning and handover.

This position offers the chance to work on a variety of projects involving treatment works, pumping stations, power distribution, control systems and process infrastructure, supporting major AMP8 investment programmes.

• Manage the electrical elements of water and wastewater projects.
• Coordinate design, procurement, installation and commissioning activities.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal delivery teams.
• Review and approve technical documentation and specifications.
• Support site teams during installation and commissioning phases.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations and quality requirements.

• HNC/HND or Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Previous experience delivering electrical or MEICA projects within the water, utilities, industrial or infrastructure sectors.
• Knowledge of LV electrical systems, MCCs, control panels, instrumentation and automation.
• Strong understanding of project delivery and engineering processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

• Experience working on water or wastewater treatment facilities.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• IOSH, SMSTS or equivalent health and safety qualifications.

• Salary up to £70,000 depending on experience.
