Electrical Supervisor (EV Charging Infrastructure)

Salary: Up to £55,000 + company van, travel expenses & overtime
Location: UK‑wide (majority of sites within the M25 corridor)
Travel: Regular travel required, with occasional overnight stays

Our client, a leading provider of integrated facilities management and infrastructure solutions is hiring for a Technical Supervisor to support Shell’s EV charging network across the UK. This is a newly created role within a long‑standing Hard FM contract, maintaining EV charging assets at 172 sites nationwide, including high‑usage destination locations such as supermarket car parks.

This role offers a 50/50 split between hands‑on engineering and technical supervision, ideal for an experienced engineer ready to take the next step.

The Role

You will play a key role in keeping Shell’s EV charging infrastructure operational and reliable, overseeing approximately 685 EV assets and supporting around 1,000 maintenance activities per year.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising day‑to‑day EV charger repair and maintenance activities
  • Providing hands‑on technical support for complex faults and escalations
  • Coordinating with work schedulers, field engineers, and EV support teams
  • Managing parts availability to minimise downtime
  • Attending regular meetings with OEMs (weekly/bi‑weekly/monthly), feeding back site‑based issues and supporting resolution
  • Driving continuous improvement in repair quality and asset reliability

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has strong technical experience in EV charging, electrical infrastructure, or similar assets
  • Is comfortable working hands‑on in the field while also providing leadership and oversight
  • Is happy to travel regularly to multiple sites, primarily within the M25, with occasional overnight stays
  • Communicates confidently with engineers, managers, and OEMs
  • Holds a full UK driving licence
