English Lecturer – GCSE & Functional Skills English

We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic English Lecturer to join a college in Romford on an hourly paid basis. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective GCSE and Functional Skills English lessons to learners within a Further Education setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality teaching across GCSE and Functional Skills English
• Plan and prepare engaging lessons that support learner progress and achievement
• Assess and monitor student performance, providing constructive feedback
• Maintain accurate learner records and contribute to a positive learning environment
• Support students to achieve their academic goals

Requirements:

• Previous experience teaching within Further Education (FE)
• Experience delivering GCSE and/or Functional Skills English
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain a new DBS
• Relevant teaching qualification desirable
