Shift: 6:00am - 2:00pm

The London Borough of Hackney is currently recruiting Estate Waste Operatives to join the team at Millfields Recycling Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to keeping Hackney clean, safe, and environmentally sustainable.

As an Estate Waste Operative, you will play a key role in maintaining cleanliness and waste management standards across housing estates and recycling facilities. Duties will include:

• Collecting and managing household and recyclable waste
• Maintaining cleanliness across estate areas and around waste facilities
• Supporting recycling operations at our depots
• Ensuring waste is disposed of safely and in line with environmental regulations
• Interacting with residents and providing a high level of customer service

We're seeking reliable and hardworking individuals who:

• Are physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Have a strong work ethic and take pride in maintaining clean environments
• Can work effectively as part of a team
• Have good communication skills
• Previous experience in waste collection, street cleansing, or estate services is desirable.

• Competitive hourly rate of £16.56 - £22.32
• Stable working hours (6am - 2pm)
