The Estates Team plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of multiple school sites, supporting both the day-to-day running of the schools and wider community activities.
As an Estates Maintenance Technician, you'll work across several sites carrying out a wide range of maintenance and caretaking duties. Working as part of a close-knit estates team and reporting to the Deputy Estates Manager, you'll support the upkeep, repair, and presentation of buildings and grounds, alongside helping maintain a safe and compliant environment for all users of the site.
The role would suit an individual coming from a similar estates, caretaking, facilities, maintenance, or site support background, or be a highly practical individual with strong all-round DIY abilities and a proactive attitude looking for a long term opportunity.
The Role:
*Carry out general maintenance and repair work including painting, decorating, carpentry, fencing repairs, and minor grounds maintenance.
*Provide reactive and preventative maintenance across multiple school sites.
*Assist with health and safety compliance checks including fire safety, asbestos awareness, legionella monitoring, and risk reporting.
*Work a rotating shift pattern including early, daytime, and late shifts, with one weekend in four on rota.
The Person:
*Strong practical DIY and maintenance skills.
*Experience within estates, facilities, caretaking, maintenance, or a similar hands-on environment beneficial.
*Comfortable using tools, equipment, and carrying out physical tasks.
*Reliable, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
*Flexible and adaptable regarding shifts and occasional weekend working.
