The Role

As Estimating Manager, you will lead a team of six Estimators and oversee tenders for public sector construction projects ranging from £100,000 to £10 million.

Working closely with senior management, you will play a key role in securing future projects, improving estimating processes and developing team performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of six Estimators
• Manage and review tenders, estimates and cost plans
• Ensure submissions are accurate, competitive and commercially robust
• Prepare and oversee pricing for new-build and refurbishment projects
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners
• Identify opportunities to improve estimating processes and efficiencies
• Support tender strategy and business growth initiatives
• Provide commercial reporting and insight to senior leadership

About You

• Proven experience as an Estimating Manager or Senior Estimator within construction
• Strong knowledge of new-build and refurbishment projects
• Previous public sector tendering experience
• Excellent commercial awareness and cost planning expertise
• Experience leading, mentoring or managing teams
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines effectively
