Estimator – Groundworks / RC Frames / Civil Engineering

£50,000 - £80,000 + Package + Bonus

We are working with a leading groundworks and concrete frame contractor who are looking to strengthen their pre-construction team due to continued growth and a strong secured pipeline of work across London and the South East.

With turnover approaching £100m and ambitious growth plans for the next financial year, this is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business delivering major residential, mixed-use and infrastructure schemes.

The company is actively recruiting due to increased workload and a busy tender pipeline, with multiple hires planned across the estimating department.

The Estimator’s Role

As an Estimator, you will join an established pre-construction team working alongside Senior Estimators, Planners and the Pre-Construction Director.

Projects typically include:

• Groundworks packages
• RC frame developments
• Roads & drainage
• Residential infrastructure
• Basements
• Large-scale residential and mixed-use developments

Responsibilities will include:

• Preparing detailed estimates and tender submissions
• Measuring groundwork and infrastructure packages
• Producing take-offs from drawings and specifications
• Pricing drainage, earthworks and external works
• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors
• Supporting value engineering exercises
• Assisting with bid presentations and handovers
• Working closely with commercial and operational teams

The Estimator

To be considered, you should have:

• Experience as an Estimator within groundworks, RC frames or civil engineering
• Strong measurement and take-off capability
• Experience pricing drainage, roads and infrastructure works
• Knowledge of residential or mixed-use developments
• Good commercial awareness
• Ability to work within a fast-paced contractor environment
• Strong communication skills
• Ideally live within an hour of the office
