EU Transport Coordinator

Gleeson is proud to be partnered with a developing freight forwarding business looking to further expand its operation with future investment been placed into the business.

They are looking for a driven Road Freight Coordinator looking to take a key role in the operations team with the ability to further develop across freight forwarding - this business offers driven professionals opportunity's for further growth in skill as well as overall development.

• Job Title: Transport Coordinator
• Locations: Birmingham
• Salary : 28-£32,000 + Bonus

Duties:

• Coordinate operations for the a warehouse and inbound flows
• Plan and manage European road freight, including UK imports/exports and EU distribution
• Arrange outbound EU transport and import deliveries
• Act as main liaison between UK customers, German warehouse, carriers, and hauliers
• Prepare and manage UK import/export customs declarations
• Ensure customs compliance and produce trade documentation (CoO, EUR1)
• Proactively manage operational exceptions and service disruptions
• Support stock reconciliation across WMS, QAD, and TMS
• Complete job costing, invoice validation, and customer billing
• Procure freight services, prepare quotations, and manage KPIs/reporting
• Support wider multimodal freight operations as required

• Minimum 1 Year of experience in a freight forwarding environment (import/export).
• Experience as a Road Freight Operator or in a similar role is preferred.
• Experience with Distribution via Groupage , Full loads and Exposure to Customs Clearance process's
• Work within 3PL Operations / Warehouse
