Fabric Technician – Healthcare Facility | Shrewsbury

We are currently recruiting for a skilled Fabric Technician to join our team at a leading healthcare facility in Shrewsbury. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and experienced professional looking to work in a stable, well-maintained environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fabric repairs
• General building maintenance including:
  • Carpentry repairs (doors, locks, fixtures)
  • Basic plumbing tasks (leaks, blockages, fittings)
  • Painting and decorating
  • Flooring and minor patch repairs
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and job reports
• Support other maintenance team members when required
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests across the site

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Fabric Technician / Handyperson / Maintenance Operative
• Strong all-round building maintenance knowledge
• Experience working in commercial or healthcare environments (desirable)
• Good understanding of health & safety practices
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
