Job Title: Fabric Engineer
Location: Cambridge (with travel to two additional sites)
Salary: Up to £36,000 + Van & Fuel Card

The Role
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Fabric Engineer to join a team supporting a pharmaceutical site in Cambridge, with occasional travel to two additional nearby locations.

Working within a regulated, high-spec environment, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality planned and reactive maintenance across building fabric and general maintenance tasks, ensuring standards of safety, compliance, and presentation are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works
• General fabric maintenance including painting and decorating
• Basic plumbing repairs (e.g. taps, toilets, minor leaks)
• Carpentry and general building repairs
• Ensure all work is completed in line with site procedures and compliance standards
• Maintain accurate records of works completed
• Support wider maintenance activities across multiple sites

About You

• Proven experience in a Fabric Engineer or similar role
• Strong all-round knowledge of building maintenance and fabric works
• Experience in painting & decorating, basic plumbing, and general repairs
• Experience working in a regulated or high-spec environment (desirable)
• Able to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• Good communication and a proactive attitude

Working Hours
Monday to Friday, standard working hours

On-Call
1 in 4 call-out rota
