Our client, a leading provider of integrated facilities management and infrastructure solutions is hiring for an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the delivery of hard FM services across a high-profile client site at RAF Odiham. This is a client-facing operational leadership role managing subcontracted hard services delivery within a demanding, high-expectation environment where customer service and stakeholder engagement are absolutely critical.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring service excellence, operational performance, compliance, and effective subcontractor management across the site, while also leading two Assistant Facilities Managers and maintaining strong day-to-day relationships with the client and wider stakeholders.
This role would suit an experienced Facilities Manager with a strong hard FM background, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to manage both service delivery and customer expectations within a fast-paced environment. Technical qualifications in either electrical or mechanical disciplines would be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the delivery of hard FM services through specialist subcontractors across the site
- Lead and support 2 Assistant Facilities Managers, ensuring effective operational oversight and team performance
- Ensure planned preventative maintenance and reactive works are delivered in line with contractual requirements and compliance standards
- Manage a highly demanding customer environment, ensuring excellent communication and responsiveness at all levels
- Monitor contractor performance against KPIs and SLAs, driving continuous improvement where required
- Support the delivery of small works and quoted projects across the site
- Produce operational reports and ensure accurate compliance documentation is maintained
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong experience managing subcontractors and outsourced service delivery models
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills within high-expectation environments
- Experience managing hard FM compliance, statutory maintenance, and contractor performance
- Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and operational compliance requirements
- Experience leading operational teams and managing direct reports
- Technical qualifications in electrical or mechanical disciplines preferred
- IOSH qualification or equivalent desirable
