Financial Controller – Higher Education (North England)
Hybrid (1 day on-site) | Interim contract (6–12 months) | Start date: July
A well-established public sector organisation within the higher education sector is seeking an experienced Financial Controller for an interim assignment. This requirement has come through a trusted client who has recently transitioned further into the public sector space and is looking to strengthen their finance function during a key period.
Key responsibilities:
Financial operations and controls
Production of monthly management accounts
Treasury and tax oversight
Management of AP and AR functions
Leadership and development of a finance team
Requirements:
Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
Strong Financial Controller or senior finance experience
Higher education or wider public sector experience strongly preferred
Proven experience managing finance teams
Details:
Hybrid working (1 day on-site per week)
Interim contract: 6–12 months
Day rate negotiable
Start date: July
