One of the UK's leading Facilities Management (FM) providers are looking to recruit a Security Leader to head up the Security function of their Facilities Management contract with a major UK Government customer.
Security is just one element of their services to this client which also include Engineering and Cleaning.
With client office sites dotted around the midlands largely, they have Security teams deployed on a shift basis, supervised by local leadership, these teams provide the day to day security service, of which you are responsible for the whole performance across the Account.
Line managing a small number of Security Managers and managing the client relationship when it comes to all things security on the contract, this role is a great position for an established Security professional with a track record in managing a P&L
Actions will include:
- Provide visible, proactive leadership across all security services (manned guarding, access control, control room operations and incident response), setting high standards of professionalism, integrity and discipline appropriate for sensitive Government environments.
- Act as the primary operational and contractual lead for Government security stakeholders, building trusted relationships through clear communication, structured reporting, and a detailed understanding of site‑specific risks, priorities and sensitivities.
- Ensure full compliance with Government security policies, legislation and contract requirements, including vetting standards (SC and above where required), access protocols, information handling and behavioural expectations.
- Maintain strong governance and assurance frameworks, ensuring all sites are audit‑ready and compliant with internal standards, client requirements and industry best practice (e.g. inspections, audits, corrective action management).
- Lead and oversee security incident management and escalation, ensuring consistent command, control, investigation and reporting processes across the portfolio, including coordination with client representatives and internal senior leadership.
We need from you:
- A strong record in Security Leadership, including having managed a P&L
- Experience on Government contract is useful
