We are working in partnership with a leading international construction and infrastructure organisation known for delivering some of Europe’s most complex and large-scale civil engineering projects.

With a strong presence across transport infrastructure, highways, rail, and major urban development schemes, the business is recognised for its engineering excellence, long-term project delivery capability, and commitment to high safety and quality standards.

Their operations span multiple countries and involve the delivery of critical national infrastructure, from major road networks and bridges through to large-scale civil engineering and public infrastructure upgrades.

They are now expanding their workforce in the UK to support an upcoming highways project in the Radlett / Watford area.

The Opportunity

We are seeking experienced General Foremen to support the delivery of a major highways construction scheme. The role will be key in managing day-to-day site operations and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising daily highways construction activities on site
• Coordinating and managing subcontractors effectively
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to required standards
• Supporting site engineers and management teams in delivery planning
• Monitoring progress and resolving operational site issues
• Maintaining strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Driving productivity while maintaining high quality standards

Candidate Requirements

• Extensive experience in highways construction / civil engineering projects
• Strong background in subcontractor supervision and coordination
• Proven experience in a General Foreman or similar leadership role
• Strong understanding of construction health & safety practices
• Ability to manage teams and drive site performance
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
