Are you a recent graduate or in your final year of university and considering a career in education?

Pertemps Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic, motivated graduates to work in a range of Primary and Secondary schools across London. We have opportunities available for Teaching Assistants and Cover Supervisors on both a short-term (daily supply) and long-term basis, with roles available immediately and from September.
These positions are ideal for graduates looking to gain valuable, paid experience in schools before progressing into teaching, educational psychology, therapy, or other child-focused professions.
About the Roles Teaching Assistant (TA):
  • Supporting pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 or small group basis
  • Assisting the class teacher with learning activities
  • Providing additional support to pupils with SEND
  • Helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment
Cover Supervisor:
  • Delivering pre-set work in the absence of the class teacher
  • Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring pupils remain on task
  • Gaining hands-on classroom management experience
You will gain first-hand classroom experience, develop behaviour management skills, and build confidence working with children and young people across a variety of age groups.

Requirements
  • A degree (or due to graduate this year)
  • A passion for working with children and young people
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • An interest in education or child development
No previous school experience is required — just enthusiasm, reliability, and a willingness to learn.
