Graduate Teaching Assistant - Secondary School (Wirral)
September 2026 Start | Full-Time | Term Time Only

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school on the Wirral from September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience within education before progressing into teaching, educational psychology, pastoral support, or other child-focused careers.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm, working closely with students and teaching staff across a range of subjects and year groups.

Key responsibilities:
* Supporting students in lessons on a 1:1 and small group basis
* Assisting teachers with classroom activities and behaviour management
* Helping to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment
* Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required
* Encouraging student confidence, participation, and progress

The ideal candidate will:
* Hold a degree in any subject
* Be enthusiastic, reliable, and proactive
* Have a genuine interest in working with young people
* Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Be looking to gain valuable school-based experience

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
