Head of French – London (Newham)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Start: September 2026
Salary: £40,653–£62,774 + TLR allowance

We are looking for an exceptional Head of French to lead and inspire excellent French teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4. This is a leadership role suitable for an experienced classroom teacher with leadership ambitions or an established subject leader seeking a new challenge.

Hapy to look at someone with HOD experience; however if you have several years of teaching experience and are looking to take the next step in your career, it would also be considered.

Key responsibilities:
• Provide clear leadership and direction for the French department.
• Lead curriculum development, set high expectations, and promote excellent teaching and learning.
• Support and develop colleagues to deliver engaging lessons that help all students succeed.

• Has strong leadership potential or experience.
• Can build on existing strengths and continue to raise outcomes.
