We are a family owned business which has been operating for 40 years specialising in commercial and retail construction. We are now looking for a Health and Safety Co Ordinator to join our team and take responsibility for implementing safety programmes, conducting risk assessments, identifying hazards and developing strategies to mitigate them.
This varied role will include compilation of documentation such as Risk & Method Statements and COSHH assessments, ensuring site records are completed/returned/signed and stored, taking part and leading in-house training/toolbox talks, obtaining safety accreditations and more. This role would suit someone early in their Health and Safety career as we can offer progression within the company.
We invite applications from Health and Safety Co Ordinators with the following attributes:
- Previous experience in health and safety along with knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Relevant certifications e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH) are desirable.
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective communicator with the ability to work across teams and with external bodies.
