Then get in touch! Kingston Barnes is recruiting for a Safety and Compliance Manager for our client in the Glasgow area. This is a great opportunity for an experienced manager with a safety, health, environmental, and quality background to join a market-leading business. You’ll be responsible for implementing policies and procedures to deliver a highly compliant environment with safety at the forefront.
The Role: You will provide safety leadership across the site, being a champion of safety, health, environmental, quality compliance and best practise. Responsibilities include:
- Develop and manage site safety procedures and compliance systems.
- Oversee ISO management systems (ISO 45001, 9001, 14001, 50001).
- Lead incident investigations, risk assessments, and safety audits.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and environmental permits.
- Provide safety leadership and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Act as a liaison with regulatory bodies and external auditors.
- Deliver training and toolbox talks to improve awareness across the site.
About you
- Knowledge of the energy from waste, power, or process industry.
- NEBOSH / IOSH qualification (essential).
- Strong experience in health & safety management within a manufacturing, engineering, or process industry.
- Experience with ISO standards and audits.
- Proven ability to drive safety policies and procedures.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills.
