Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead and develop our company-wide H&S function across multiple live construction projects.

The Role

This is a senior-level position offering real influence and autonomy within the business. You will take ownership of health & safety strategy, operational compliance, fire safety, systems management, and construction site standards across all projects.

The role will suit an experienced construction H&S professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident managing both operational and strategic responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all company Health & Safety operations across multiple construction sites
• Ensure compliance with all UK H&S legislation including CDM 2015
• Develop, implement, and maintain H&S policies and procedures
• Act as the company lead for:
  • RAMS
  • Construction Phase Plans (CPPs)
  • Site mobilisation
  • Toolbox talks and workforce engagement
  • Incident investigations and reporting
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and compliance reviews
• Support Site Managers and operational teams with safe delivery
• Manage H&S documentation and operational systems
• Oversee traffic management and logistics coordination
• Act as the company Fire Safety Lead and first point of contact for all fire-related matters
• Manage emergency planning, fire risk assessments, and hot works controls
• Maintain and develop the company Operations Manual and compliance systems
• Promote a positive safety culture across the business

What We’re Looking For

Essential

✔ NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent)
✔ Strong knowledge of UK construction H&S legislation
✔ Experience working for a Principal Contractor
✔ Proven experience managing H&S across live construction projects
✔ Excellent knowledge of:

• CDM Regulations 2015
• RAMS
• CPPs
• Site audits and compliance systems

✔ Strong communication and leadership skills
✔ Full UK driving licence

Desirable

• CMIOSH status
• ISO 45001 experience
• Fire Safety qualification
• Experience across commercial and residential projects
