Are you an experienced Health & Safety professional looking for your next opportunity within FMCG manufacturing?
We are recruiting for a Health & Safety Manager to join a well-established manufacturing business in Whitby. Reporting into the Operations Director, this role will take ownership of driving and developing the site-wide Health & Safety culture across the business.
This is a highly visible role working closely with operational leaders to improve systems, drive engagement, and support continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop Health & Safety improvement plans across the business
- Maintain and improve the H&S management system
- Drive a proactive and positive safety culture across site
- Support audits, investigations and compliance activities
- Work closely with managers to improve accountability and engagement
- Liaise with external bodies including HSE and insurers
- Analyse H&S data and identify improvement opportunities
- Support wider continuous improvement initiatives across the operation
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a Health & Safety leadership role
- Manufacturing or FMCG experience
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence across departments
- Continuous improvement mindset
- NEBOSH Certificate essential
- NEBOSH Diploma desirable
