We’re working with a growing and well-established M&E / Building Services business who are looking to appoint a Health & Safety Manager to support their continued growth across Scotland.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being visible within a business, building relationships with operational teams, and making a genuine impact on safety standards and company culture.

Rather than sitting behind a desk all day, this role will involve a mix of site visits, stakeholder engagement, and hands-on support across both operational and office environments.

The Role

You’ll work closely with senior management and operational teams to drive health & safety standards across the business while supporting ongoing compliance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out site inspections and audits across active projects
• Supporting operational teams with day-to-day H&S guidance
• Promoting a positive and practical safety culture throughout the business
• Investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions
• Reviewing and improving policies, procedures, and RAMS
• Delivering toolbox talks and staff training
• Supporting ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 compliance
• Assisting with internal and external audits
• Working closely with engineers, management teams, and subcontractors

About You

We’re keen to speak with candidates who have experience within Construction, Building Services, M&E, FM, or Engineering environments.

You’ll ideally be:

• Confident communicating with people at all levels
• Practical and approachable in your approach to health & safety
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team
• Organised, proactive, and solutions-focused
• Looking for a role where you can genuinely influence and improve standards

Requirements

• Previous experience within a Health & Safety role
• NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent)
• Knowledge of UK H&S legislation
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Experience within M&E, FM, Engineering or Construction environments preferred
