Pay Rate: £17.00 – £21.00 per hour (Class 2) | £18.00 – £22.00 per hour (Class 1)

We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 and Class 2 Drivers for a well-established distribution client based in Tilbury.

This is a busy transport operation supporting a high-volume national supply chain, moving palletised goods in and out of a major logistics hub serving retail, industrial and commercial customers across the UK.

The Role

• Driving Class 1 (C+E) articulated vehicles or Class 2 (C) rigid vehicles.
• Trunking and/or multi-drop deliveries depending on route allocation.
• Collecting and delivering palletised goods to distribution centres and customer sites.
• Securing loads safely in line with transport regulations.
• Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting defects.
• Ensuring all paperwork and delivery documentation is completed accurately.
• Adhering to strict health & safety procedures at all times.
• Maintaining professional communication with transport planners and site staff.

Requirements

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) Licence.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 1 year HGV driving experience preferred.
• Good understanding of driver hours and transport regulations.
• Experience with palletised freight, RDCs or general haulage is advantageous.
• Good communication skills with the ability to liaise professionally with planners, customers, and site teams.
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious approach to work.
• Ability to work independently and follow planned routes.

Shift Pattern

• Monday to Friday with occasional weekend shifts available.
• Start times between early morning and daytime.
• Shifts typically 8–10 hours per day, depending on workload.
• Overtime opportunities available.
