Job Description:

Location: Birmingham

Pay rate: £20.51 per hour
45 hours per week (working between 6:00am – 5:00pm)

HSL Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Mechanic to work for a council based in Birmingham.

This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity for a skilled mechanic looking for long-term, stable employment within a professional working environment.

Duties will include:

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGV vehicles
• Diagnosing faults and completing mechanical repairs efficiently
• Conducting inspections and preventative maintenance
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety standards
• Maintaining accurate service and repair records

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as an HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician
• Relevant mechanical qualifications preferred
• Experience working on council or fleet vehicles is advantageous
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
