Duties of a HGV Technician:
  • Servicing and maintaining a fleet of HGVs in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
  • Completing accurate inspection reports and documentation
  • Adhering to health and safety procedures at all times
  • Working efficiently to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Supporting the workshop team to achieve high standards of customer service
  • Assisting in stock management and ordering parts when required
  • Maintaining a clean and safe workshop environment
Requirements of a HGV Technician:
  • Proven experience as an HGV Technician
  • Strong mechanical skills and problem-solving ability
  • Relevant NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts and Saturdays when necessary
  • Excellent attention to detail and focus on quality workmanship
