Higher Level Teaching Assistamt

Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - South East & South West London - September Start - Full Time

We are currently recruiting for experienced and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to join supportive schools across South East and South West London for September starts.

This is a fantastic opportunity for strong HLTAs who are ready to take on additional classroom responsibility, lead interventions, cover lessons, and support pupils across the school.

We are working with a range of primary, secondary, and SEN schools across areas including Greenwich, Lewisham, Southwark, Lambeth, Bromley.

The Role:

• Working as an HLTA across a school setting
• Delivering planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
• Leading small group interventions and booster sessions
• Supporting pupils across a range of abilities and learning needs
• Assisting with lesson preparation, classroom resources, and learning activities
• Supporting pupils with SEN including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language needs
• Helping manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and senior leaders

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold a recognised HLTA qualification or have strong HLTA experience
• Be confident covering lessons and leading groups
• Have previous school-based experience
• Have strong behaviour management skills
• Be organised, proactive, and reliable
• Be confident supporting pupils across different year groups
• Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Be passionate about supporting children's learning and development
