About the role…
As an HR Apprentice, you will provide essential administrative support to the Ipsum Water Division, helping ensure HR processes across the full employee lifecycle are delivered efficiently and accurately.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting their HR career or looking to build on existing knowledge. Over the course of your 18-month apprenticeship, you will gain hands-on experience across the full HR function, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management.

You will support the HR Business Partner and wider team, playing a key role in maintaining HR systems, coordinating people activities, and supporting employees and managers with queries.

You will…
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
• Support HR communications, responding to employee queries professionally via Teams and email
• Assist in organising HR meetings, taking notes, and preparing follow-up documentation
• Generate HR reports and support data analysis from HR systems
• Support onboarding processes, including preparing contracts and welcoming new starters
• Assist with probation processes and new starter integration
• Support administration of employee benefits and leaver processes
• Provide guidance on HR policies and escalate queries where appropriate
• Contribute to employee engagement activities and events

About you…
We are looking for someone enthusiastic, organised, and eager to learn and develop within HR.

• 5 GCSEs Grade 4 to 9 (A to C) or equivalent
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple tasks
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to support colleagues and take initiative
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
