The opportunity for an HR Business Partner to join a fast paced Manufacturing organisation on a fixed term basis has arisen. The successful applicant will be an individual who holds HR experience in a unionised operations environment, in particular supporting managers and employees through change.

Role: HR Business Partner 

Location: 100% office based, Launceston, Cornwall 

Salary: competitive and based on experience

Inside IR35

Contract length: 4-6 months 

Hours: Full time, Mon-Fri, 09:00-17:00

Start: End of June-Early July 2026

Responsibilities:

  • Support line managers in delivering individual consultation meetings 

  • Providing effective support to employees affected by change, ensuring queries are captured and responded to, and promoting wellbeing services available.

  • Ensuring accurate letters and financial statements are issued to employees in line with project timelines. 

  • Liaising with external stakeholders including pension providers, work charities and redeployment stakeholders

  • Provide generalise HR support as required, including ad-hoc employee relations case management 

  • Delivering change management workshops internally as required 

  • Digitising employment files in compliance with GDPR 

  • Supporting the organisation’s lead HR Business Partners with reporting, meetings and ad hoc tasks as required

Essential requirements:

  • Significant HR experience (5+ years) within an Operations, Manufacturing and/or Industrial environment 

  • Previous experience working in multi layered organisations with FTE in excess of 150

  • Prior experience working within a unionised environment 

  • Ability to be a subject matter expert for employee consultations process

  • Strong IT literacy skill, especially with MS Office and in house systems 

  • Good written and verbal communication skills 

  • Profound GDPR knowledge and ability to digitise and destroy documentation accordingly 

  • Ability to hold difficult conversations whilst maintaining confidentiality 

  • Awareness of mental health and confidence signposting individuals for further support

  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle (due to site based role)
