Quantum Scholars is seeking compassionate, adaptable, and dedicated Inclusive Learning Tutors to provide personalised 1:1 educational support for pupils accessing alternative provision across Wokingham and the wider Berkshire area.
This rewarding role offers the opportunity to support learners who may face barriers to education, helping them develop confidence, re-engage with learning, and achieve meaningful academic and personal progress in a supportive environment.
We welcome applications from experienced tutors, teachers, learning support professionals, mentors, youth workers, teaching assistants, pastoral staff, SEND practitioners, and others who have experience working with children and young people with diverse learning needs.
About the Role
As an Inclusive Learning Tutor, you will deliver tailored one-to-one learning sessions to primary and secondary-aged pupils who are unable to fully access mainstream education or who require additional support to succeed.
Working closely with each learner, you will adapt your approach to meet their individual needs, interests, and learning styles, creating engaging and accessible educational experiences that promote both achievement and wellbeing.
Sessions are typically delivered during school hours and take place within the pupil's home or appropriate community-based settings.
Learners You May Support
Our learners may present with a range of needs and circumstances, including:
- Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- ADHD
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Learning differences and communication needs
- Anxiety and emotionally based school avoidance
- Behavioural challenges
- Medical conditions affecting school attendance
- Pupils accessing alternative provision or requiring reintegration support
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, personalised 1:1 learning sessions
- Adapt teaching methods, resources, and activities to meet individual learning needs
- Support learners in developing academic skills across core subjects, including English and Maths
- Build positive, trusting relationships that encourage participation and engagement
- Promote confidence, independence, resilience, and self-esteem
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Support learners' social, emotional, and personal development alongside academic progress
- Encourage positive learning habits, routines, and educational engagement
- Monitor progress and provide relevant feedback when required
- Work collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals to support positive outcomes

Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- Experience supporting children and young people with additional learning needs
- A commitment to inclusive education and learner-centred approaches
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Patience, empathy, adaptability, and resilience
- Confidence in supporting learners with varying abilities, needs, and backgrounds
- The ability to motivate and engage learners through personalised approaches
Essential Requirements
- Experience in tutoring, teaching, mentoring, learning support, youth work, pastoral care, SEND support, or similar roles
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- Full Right to Work in the UK
- Ability to travel to face-to-face sessions across Wokingham and surrounding areas
