Installations Support Technician

Due to continued growth, we are once again assisting a successful and highly regarded Solar and EV installation company, based in Beckenham (SE London) in their search for an Installations Support Technician.

The ideal candidate should be over 25 years of age, possess basic (hands on) trade related skills, AND confident computer / telephone skills.

The Installations Support Technician role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis. Working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Support skilled trades with solar panel and EV installations on residential and commercial sites
• Load vehicles, deliver materials, remove site waste, complete stock checks and take quality site photos
• Assist with planning, scheduling and coordination of renewable energy projects
• Maintain project records, installation documentation and handover information
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, installers and internal teams to help projects run smoothly and on time

Candidate Requirements

• Full UK driving licence and aged 25+ for vehicle insurance purposes
• At least 1 years' hands on trade related experience (Electrical ideally)
• Experience in a manual, technical support, coordination or administrative role, ideally in construction, electrical, engineering, renewables or a related sector
• Current CSCS card (ideally), confidence using power and hand tools, and a recognised trade-related qualification such as Level 2 Electrical Installations
• Comfortable working outdoors and at height in all weather conditions
• Strong communication, attention to detail, customer focus and good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems
• Passion for renewable energy; knowledge of Solar PV, battery storage or EV charging and a Working at Height Certificate are desirable
