Trainee Insurance Broker – General Commercial Insurance

Location –  Southend on Sea  

Salary – to £30,000 DOE + Pension, Flexible Benefits after Probation (Hybrid) assistance towards CII Qualifications

Our client is a leading Commercial insurance Broker  in Southend on Sea  Due to continued growth in the Business they are looking for a Trainee commercial Broker some insurance experience would be desirable  – this could be in Personal lines if you are now looking to move into a commercial role

The position will provide training on the commercial classes of Insurance and also our client will assist with CII Qualifications

Details of the position

To provide New Business Quotations to clients for Commercial Insurance – Leads are provided by our clients internal Marketing team. To assist the company  to attempt to exceed budgeted income and profit targets and to help position the company for future growth by:

Assist the Account Handlers and Directors of the Business with the Daily Administration and Broking of Commercial classes of Insurance for New Clients

Assist with New Business Quotations  

Preparation of Market Submissions for New Business  

Dealing with the clients day to day Enquiries

Key Requirements

• Good communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)_
• Proficient in Microsoft software: Word, Outlook & Excel – Acturis experience is desirable but not essential
• Accurate data input skills
• Good organisational skills
• Works well within a team.
• Self-motivated
