We are looking for an experienced senior leader with a proven track record of building and developing high‑performing teams. If you’re ready to make your mark on an established neurological rehabilitation and complex care service, apply now to join the team at St. Neots Neurological Centre
This is a 6‑month interim position, created to provide focused leadership during a period of organisational development and to deliver a defined programme of project‑based improvement work. You will also lead a targeted portfolio of improvement projects—such as service redesign, workforce optimisation, pathway development, and commercial engagement—while maintaining operational continuity and preparing the service for a smooth handover at the end of the interim period.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading service development — ensuring services respond to the changing needs of stakeholders and reflect market trends and evidence‑based practice.
- Delivering project‑based improvements — overseeing a defined set of strategic projects, ensuring milestones are met within the 6‑month timeframe.

- Promoting and enhancing the hospital’s reputation for specialist care and service excellence.
- Fulfilling the role of Registered Manager as per CQC expectations.
- Engaging with Integrated Care Boards and Local Authorities to support service development and commercial opportunities.
- Preparing for transition — ensuring robust processes, documentation, and governance are in place for a seamless handover at the end of the interim period.
To be successful as the Interim Care Centre Director you will:
- Have an excellent track record in a healthcare or social care management role (essential).
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of neurological services.
- Bring a clear emphasis on performance, delivery, budget control and business development.
- Show a credible, inclusive and supportive leadership style with the ability to implement change at pace.
