A leading Main Contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality residential developments is seeking an experienced Internal Fit-Out Manager to take responsibility for the coordination and delivery of all internal finishing works on a prestigious project in Marlow.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-focused construction professional with strong internal trades and finishes experience to join a contractor delivering high-specification residential schemes.
The successful candidate will oversee all internal works from first fix through to final completion and handover, ensuring the highest standards of quality, sequencing, and programme control are achieved.
The Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Internal Fit-Out Manager will be responsible for managing all internal construction and finishing packages, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard of finish.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Management and coordination of all internal fit-out works
• Oversight of first fix and second fix MEP coordination
• Management of partitions, drylining, plastering and ceilings
• Coordination of joinery, kitchens, bathrooms and bespoke fit-out packages
• Management of decoration and final finishing works
• Sequencing and programming of internal trades in line with overall project programme
• Coordination of subcontractors and specialist internal trades
• Monitoring quality standards and ensuring high-end finishes are achieved throughout
• Resolving design, coordination and buildability issues on site
• Ensuring works progress in line with key milestones and handover dates
• Liaising with design, commercial and engineering teams
• Carrying out regular inspections and snagging management
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety standards and site procedures
• Supporting commissioning, testing and handover processes
Candidate Requirements
Applicants should possess the following:
• Proven experience as an Internal Fit-Out Manager, Site Manager or Finishing Manager
• Strong residential construction background, ideally high-end or luxury residential projects
• Excellent knowledge of internal trades and sequencing of finishes
• Strong understanding of MEP coordination within fit-out environments
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and drive programme performance
• Strong attention to detail and quality control focus
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Good IT literacy including reporting and programme tracking tools
• Proactive, hands-on and solutions-driven approach
