It Technician
Post 2 Post Recruitment
We are seeking a proactive and technically capable IT Technician to support the day-to-day operation, administration, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure, systems, and business applications.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business where technology plays a critical role in supporting operational excellence. Alongside ensuring the smooth running of our existing IT estate, the successful candidate will play an active role in one of the company's most significant strategic initiatives – the migration from our current ERP platform to a brand-new enterprise-wide ERP system.
This transformation project is expected to run for approximately 18 months to 2 years and represents a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a major business systems implementation. Importantly, this is not a project-specific role; the successful candidate will continue to play a key part in the development, support, and future growth of the company's IT systems long after the ERP programme has been completed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-line technical support across the business, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, network, and user-related issues.
- Ensure the smooth day-to-day operation, administration, and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure, telephony systems, and software applications.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.
- Perform routine hardware upgrades, repairs, and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Assist with the deployment and configuration of new hardware and software solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets, incidents, service requests, and resolutions.
- Support Microsoft 365 administration and end-user support activities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and external suppliers to identify opportunities for improving system performance, security, and efficiency.
- Assist the IT Systems Lead with ongoing IT projects and business improvement initiatives.
- Play a key role in supporting the company's ERP transformation programme, including system testing, data validation, user support, training activities, process documentation, and implementation support.
- Contribute to the successful delivery of the new ERP platform and help drive user adoption across the business.
- Support the ongoing development and enhancement of business systems and IT infrastructure following the ERP implementation.
