KS2 Teacher (Interventions) – Outstanding Primary School
Location: Haringey, North London
Salary: £37,870 - £56,154 (M1-M6) – dependent on experience
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2026
Salary will be determined based on experience and position on the Main Pay Range. The maximum salary is applicable to candidates with substantial teaching experience equivalent to M6.
A highly regarded primary school in Haringey is seeking a talented KS2 Teacher to join their team in a unique intervention-focused role from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working with small groups, accelerating pupil progress, and making a real impact on outcomes in Key Stage 2.
The Role
This varied position combines targeted intervention teaching with some Year 6 class cover.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver Maths and English intervention sessions, primarily for Year 6 pupils.
• Plan and adapt intervention programmes to meet pupil needs.
• Cover a Year 6 class for three afternoons per week, releasing a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
• Teach from pre-prepared lesson plans and resources.
• Monitor pupil progress and work closely with staff to maximise achievement.
We are looking for someone who:
• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has experience teaching in Key Stage 2
• Has strong knowledge of the Year 6 curriculum, particularly Maths and English
• Is confident delivering interventions and small-group teaching
• Builds positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
• Has high expectations and a commitment to raising attainment
